It's all business!
Despite the glorious weather again today, it was all about business, as Paul and I had several appointments with our suppliers. The fun thing about doing business here is that it rarely takes all that long, and the suppliers all want to entertain you in some fashion!
Nevertheless, we did have time to check out the breath-taking exhibition on the gold of the Incas, at the musee Pinacotheque, on place de Madelaine. we did some shopping in all the gourmet shops that also surround the sqaure, and then stopped into the Hermes flagship store on the rue Faubourg st Honre, so that Paul could buy a couple of bars pf his favourite soap, orange vert. A long day ended up with a couple of beers in a charming cafe before supper at our local pizzeria. Walking home, I snapped the night photo of Notre Dame.
Not much to say, as I doubt that anyone's reading this anyway... but another fantastic day in Paris!

I'm reading your blog every day; I hate you both! not really :) just green with envy...hoping to fly to Africa next Tues, the 19th, via Frankfurt; tell Paul I can't wait to bring Addison to your store so she can touch everything!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! The weather's been way warmer and nicer than last year (sorry about that) - but for every ying there's a yang - the railway system is on strike and there's lots of protests about pension reform.
ReplyDeletePoor Addison, she'll want to sleep for about a week when you finally get her home. PJ and I have both been through Frankfurt... are you going on Lufthansa? We're coming home on the 18th!
Have been enjoying your blog. Your photos are fabulous and have loved the stories too! Thanks for posting. We can feel the atmosphere of Paris, everything looks beautiful and interesting!
ReplyDeleteWe're flying Air Canada to Frankfurt, then Lufthansa to Addis Ababa; I think we'll want to sleep for a week when we get back and she'll be full of energy! That'll be fun! Hope we get to chat before we leave on Tuesday. Bummer re: rail strike, but there's always a taxi!
